"I'm excellent," Darkfur purred happily.

Pepperfur looked at him. "Want to go hunting? I'm due to take Flarepaw out anyway." She flicked her tail toward her apprentice, who was looking rather restless as he sat with his brothers and the two sisters, Lightpaw and Brightpaw.

"Sure, that sounds like fun," Darkfur purred in response. "I can't wait until Swiftkit and Shadekit are apprenticed. I hope I can mentor one of them."

Pepperfur nodded. "I'm sure you will. You're one of the best warriors in the Clan. Graystar has to see that." She flicked her tail, looking thoughtful. "I wonder which one you'd get though. Shadekit listens well, but he's a bit aggressive and easy to anger. Swiftkit is hyperactive. I'm not sure how well she'd listen when given orders."

"Either way, an apprentice is an apprentice," Darkfur replied. "And I would love to be a mentor."

Pepperfur purred. "You'd make a great mentor." Then she turned and called to Flarepaw, "Flarepaw, we're going hunting!"

The apprentice leaped to his paws, bid a farewell to his denmates, and bounded over to them. He looked at Darkfur. "Is Darkfur coming too?"

Darkfur purred. "You bet I am!"

"Great!" Flarepaw meowed enthusiastically, "Let's go!" He shot off, not even waiting for his mentor or Darkfur.

Pepperfur purred. "He's a pawful," she commented, "Sometimes I wonder if I can manage him."

"Well, we'd better go catch him," Darkfur meowed.

"Right!" Pepperfur responded, and bounded after her apprentice.

(Skyfur, Cherryblossom, Pepperfur, Thistletail, Lightpaw, Brightpaw, Flarepaw, and Sparkpaw will be going to the gathering.)

Skyfur sat beside her mentor, waiting to go to the gathering.

Lightpaw and Brightpaw sat side by side.

Cherryblossom and Pepperfur were also waiting.

Thistletail paced.

Flarepaw and Sparkpaw were talking to Blazepaw, who seemed disappointed that he wasn't going to the gathering.

Graystar stood, and called over the cats who were attending the Gathering. Sparrowfire instantly padded over.

Lightpaw and Brightpaw bounded over toward Graystar. Skyfur, Cherryblossom, Pepperfur, Thistletail, Flarepaw and Sparkpaw also joined the two sisters by their leader.

"This will be our last Gathering as apprentices," Sparkpaw meowed enthusiastically.
At this, Lightpaw was reminded that Sparkpaw and his two brothers were almost finished with their training and would be warriors soon. She looked at her sister, who's attention was focused on Graystar.
"That's if you don't mess up or anything," Flarepaw teased his brother, nudging his shoulder with his nose playfully, mischief gleaming in his eyes.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Sparkpaw meowed, "Flarepaw, you better not be planning to sabotage my warrior assessment!"
"Now why ever would I do something like that?" Flarepaw gasped dramatically.
"Because you're like that, and I could easily see you trying to ruin your brother's warrior assessment," Brightpaw meowed bluntly, turning to give Flarepaw a stare just as blunt as her words.
"You have no faith in me, Brightpaw! I thought we were friends!" Flarepaw meowed in mock hurt.
Brightpaw rolled her eyes and meowed, "Me and you? Friends? In what fantasy world are you living in?"
Flarepaw's jaw dropped. "Hey!"
Lightpaw had to fight the sudden urge to snort in amusement at Flarepaw's expression.

(...that is story-worthy material. And it really wasn't even intentional. It seems that I can't even RP without turning it into a mini-story. ...I need help. Note to self: This is an RP! NOT a story!)
(...hey. That's a bit weird. Try saying 'an RP' out loud. Sounds nice and good, right? Now say 'a RP' out loud. Sounds weird and just...not right.
BUT. Say 'a Role Play' out loud. Sounds good. Now, 'an Role Play'. It sounds retarded. Don't you find that a bit odd? Being that RP is short for Role Play, it's just weird.)
(Though it probably has something to do with the fact that the letter 'R' sounds like a vowel...and since you're supposed to place 'an' instead of 'a' before a vowel, I guess it makes some sense.)
