Whitestar considered what cats would be good for deputy. She glanced at Raintail. The warrior was young, yet at the same time, posessed good qualities for being a leader. Yes, Raintail was perfect. She would hold the ceremony as soon as the others returned to camp.

Raintail sat near the fresh-kill pile, devouring a mouse.

Aquamist was grooming herself.

"Whitestar!" Icetail meowed as the group entered the camp. The snowy-white Clan leader lifted her head.
"Yes?" she meowed.

"We have a rogue and three kits here with us," Stormfeather quickly explained what had happened.

(I'm too lazy to go into detail about what happened.)

Whitestar looked at the kits, and the other cat who was with them. "They may stay as long as they need," Whitestar meowed. "Now, there is another matter that needs attending to." The Clan leader then leaped onto the Highrock. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneatht eh Highrock for a Clan meeting!"

Stormfeather and Stoneheart exchanged looks.

Raintail looked up at her leader, head cocked to the side.

Aquamist looked curious.

"It is time for a new deputy to be named. Raintail, you are a brilliant warrior, and although you are young, you display excellent leadership qualities. You shall be the new deputy of SnowClan," Whitestar meowed.

"Raintail, Raintail!" Liilypetal and Icetail cheered.

Raintail dipped her head. "Thank you, Whitestar," she meowed. "I shall serve SnowClan the best I can."

"Raintail, Raintail, Raintail!" Stormfeather and Stoneheart cheered.

"RAINTAIL!!!!" Aquamist cheered the loudest.

Whitestar nodded, and leaped down from the highrock.

"Congratulations, Raintail!" Aquamist bounded over to her sister.

(Ahh, the poofing Queen has returned.)
"Congratulations!" Lilypetal called.

"Thank you!" Raintail mewed to her Clanmates.

"So, how does it feel to be the deputy now?" Icetail asked, padding over to Raintail.

"I actually feel the same," Raintail said truthfully, "well, maybe I feel a tad bit more responsible." She meowed thoughtfully.

"I'm sure you'll be great," Icetail purred.

"I hope so." Raintail mowed.

"Of course you will!" Aquamist walked to her sister's side. When the two cats stood side-by-side like this, the only way to tell them apart was by the different shade of blue of their eyes.

Icetail nodded. "Aquamist is right, Raintail. You'll be perfect." He hoped he was looking at the right cat as he said so.

"Well, thanks, then." Raintail meowed.

"No problem, Raintail," he meowed, meaning to lick her on the ear but mistaking the nearly identical Aquamist for her.

"Whoa, there!" Aquamist meowed, jumping back. "I'm not Raintail!"
