ABOUT
Long ago the Sohma family was cursed with the twelve animals of the Chinese Zodiac including the the Cat. When any of the thirteen Sohma's are stressed, weak, or hugged by someone of the opposite gender who is not cursed they change into their zodiac animal. Although this may seem fascinating to some, it is a burden they are forced to live with.
The Sohma's are a very large family who are only related through the curse, not by blood. They are a very attractive bunch, often gaining the attention of many admirers. They tend to keep to themselves in fear of being discovered, though sometimes people outside the family do get lucky. The Sohma's, being very close, all live on a very large estate. Those who possess a zodiac animal or know about the curse are sectioned off from the others, living on one end of the Sohma Estate while those who know nothing about the curse live on the other.
